MCP to extend partnership with Polferries

The successful partnership between MCP, MATERNA and Polferries was first established in late summer 2006, when MCP installed GSM services onboard M/F Scandinavia. Polferries, the operating name of the Polish Baltic Shipping Company, is one of the largest Polish operators providing a ferry service between Sweden and Poland. Winner of best products ans services in 2004, the Polish Baltic Shipping company is recognized for quality of service in both cruise and cargo areas. The M/F Pomerania and M/F Wawel provide passengers with a safe and comfortable experience at sea, sailing between destinations in Swinoujscie (Poland) and Ystad (Sweden) and Copenhagen (Denmark). In addition, M/F Pomerania operates a service between Swinoujscie and Rønne (Bornholm - Denmark's island) during the summer season. The ships, all well equipped with modern facilities including traditional restaurants lively bars, fitness areas and excellent shopping will now be able to offer seamless connectivity to passengers and crew through MCP's network, CellAtSea®.

For the passengers, the mobile services are transparent, readily available on their own personal mobile phone, operating seamlessly through MCP's network in the same way as when travelling abroad. MCP tariffs all calls, and handles the revenue flow generated by the networks, through industry standard billing and accounting systems. The customers are charged by their home operator by normal invoicing routines.
